Paulette Dash Edwards is a master hairstylist, barber, cosmetologist, and instructor with more than 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. A gifted professional and entrepreneur, she owned and operated her own salon for decades, mentoring countless stylists and barbers, many of whom have gone on to open successful salons and barbershops under her guidance. Paulette is the mother of five children, including two whom she carries lovingly in her heart. She is blessed with three living daughters; eight grandchildren - seven grandsons and one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren - a great-granddaughter and a great-grandson. Paulette's life story is marked by both deep loss and remarkable resilience. Whether behind the chair, in the classroom, or in conversation, she has always used her voice and lived experience to help, encourage, nurture, and heal others. A woman in long-term recovery, Paulette, openly shares her journey to bring hope to those struggling with addiction. Since moving to Beaufort, South Carolina, she has taught cosmetology at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, served on the Advisory Board for Academic Career Education, and is a frequent speaker and mentor. She is also a proud member of the Black Chamber of Commerce and an active volunteer in her community.
