Patricia deSandro (aka BonaDea Lyonesse) has served the Pagan community for decades, working within the wisewoman/shamanic and Romano-Celtic traditions as healer, elder, and high priestess. Her knowledge of wild herbs and healing ways came from the teachings of an Amish farm wife, a Cherokee elder, a wisewoman healer, a witch queen, and a conjure man. She blended their wisdom with the teachings of her spirit contacts and her own gifts to develop her unique spiritual path. BonaDea has been teaching and presenting rituals and workshops in many places throughout the country for public and private events since 1990. In 1999, she founded the Circle of the Sacred Grove Temple of the Old Religion as an initiatory coven. BonaDea is also a storyteller as the character Granny Root, sharing her original fairy tales as teaching stories for children and adults. She devotes her time to her ever-growing family, her writing, her community, and her painting.
""Deeply rooted magickal wisdom from a true teacher. BonaDea shares a magickal practice woven into the fiber of our daily lives, offering her enchanting vision of a living path of Witchcraft."" --Christopher Penczak ""Long ago humanity cast a ""Spell of Forgetfulness"" upon itself and magic became maligned. The wand replaced by pencils, science became God and God became a guy. Life processes like birth, death, dusk and dawn became spiritless - viewed as mechanistic. Animism was replaced by pessimism. The starry-eyed wonder and poetic perception of magic faded and the mouth that whispered possibility from wind and stone, wood and waters, candle flame and lightening bolt was hushed. By this spell, we've drifted into a state of disconnection and diminished meaning, but magic is inherent to life and immortal enchantment still lives in the everyday moments if we want them and if we know how to re-cast a spell of enchantment and the author does! Sometimes, profound power is in the elegant simplicity, hidden in plain sight. Patricia has extended her hand to beckon us back to our magical lives, open the pages and you will see, a gate of enchantment swings wide for thee. The Wisdom herein is distilled and offered by a woman of wisdom. The pencil becomes the magic wand."" --Orion Foxwood
