I absolutely loved Blood and Hellfire. I couldn't put this book down. Arianna's journey is so thrilling and the characters are so well written. I am not a huge fan of vampire novels but the author did an amazing job at reimagining vampires and making them so interesting. Damn. What a hot mess. And when I say hot, I mean ""Dayum this is hot"" Dark, vampiric, intense heat. But also: it's a mess. A fun, chaotic, ambitious one with real potential underneath. The concept hooked me right away. We follow Ariana as she gets pulled ""literally dragged"" into a parallel paranormal world she had no idea existed. And then there's Lucien, our intense, hidden-identity vampire who derails her entire life in about five seconds. His energy is obsessive, dangerous, magnetic. On the opposite side we have Victor, the protector type, all calm strength and ""I'm keeping you alive whether you like it or not.""
