Navara de Wijoo is a retired head and neck cancer surgeon who worked for over forty years. He has seen the agony of a terrible disease hitting many, though luckily only a few children. Navara has come across patients who opened his eyes to some issues. In his view, we cannot write imaginary stories that readers can't perceive. Even in sci-fi novels, aliens have eyes and ears! His wife is a doctor, a General Practitioner, who is an old-style practitioner and is based in semi-rural Kent. Both used to talk about their own experiences, which made a mark on his mind.
