Professor Bing-Jie Ni isan ARC Future Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He has been working in the field of environmental technology and wastewater treatment, particularly transforming wastes or wastewater from a troublesome pollutant to a valuable resource. Prof. Ni has published 2 research books, 30 book chapters, and more than 400 papers in refereed ISI journals. He served as Lead Guest Editor for Water Research (Elsevier, Nature index journal), Editorial Advisory Board for Environmental Science and Technology (ACS, Nature index journal), Editor for Sustainable Horizons (Elsevier), Associate Editor for Journal of Cleaner Production (Elsevier), Environmental Chemistry Letters (Springer), Environmental Research (Elsevier), etc. Prof. Ni is a Highly Cited Researcher - Clarivate Analytics - Web of Science. He is a Mendeley Data top 2% Cited Researchers in the world in all academic disciplines. He has been continuously recognized as a Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Highly Cited Researcher since 2020. Prof. Gang Luo is a Full Professor at Fudan University, in Shanghai, China. His current research interests include anaerobic digestion, anaerobic microbiology, wastewater treatments, hydrothermal conversion and biological syngas conversion. His projects were mainly funded by NSFC, MOST and the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. He has published more than 100 ISI publications in well-known journals, including Environmental Science and Technology and Water Research, with total citations of over 5,000. He also published 4 book chapters and obtained 2 patents. Prof. Luo is serving as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Frontiers Environmental Science Engineering and as a guest editor of several other journals.
