Lachlann Carter is a children's author who lives in Cairns with his family. He is also the cofounder and former CEO of 100 Story Building, a not-for-profit creative writing centre in Melbourne, Australia, and has delivered close to 1,000 workshops on creative writing, and over 200 professional development programs and seminars for around 2,000 teachers, librarians and community development workers. Douglas Holgate is the illustrator of the #1 New York Times Bestselling series, The Last Kids on Earth from Penguin Kids (mow also an Emmy winning Netflix animated series), and the co-creator and illustrator of the graphic novel Clem Hetherington and The Ironwood Race for Scholastic Graphix. He has worked for the last 20 years making books and comics for publishers around the world from his garage in regional Victoria, Australia. He lives with his family in the Australian bush on five acres surrounded by 80 million year old volcanic boulders and a large fat dog that could possibly be part-polar bear.
