Written in an easy-to-read style and drawing lessons from the lives of Biblical characters-both triumphs as well as failures-the author illuminates timeless leadership principles. The reflection-inducing questions at the end of each chapter facilitates the reader to pause, discuss with other leaders and find personal applications. I was thrilled to read this book on Biblical leadership, where Dr. Swamidass draws powerful lessons from the lives of David, Moses, Peter, Paul, Joseph of Arimathea and the Samaritan woman that impress me. What touched me most were the lives of Moses and Aaron, two very different or incompatible people. The hard lesson we can learn from Moses and Aaron is that God can make even incompatible teams work together and accomplish God's purpose if all the team members are obedient to God, just as Moses and Aaron were. If each of us can emulate that kind of teamwork and leadership at home as well as in ministry, there will likely be fewer divorces and fewer divisions. Dr. Swamidass draws from Biblical Characters in both the Old and New Testaments to uncover principles of leadership, often discovered after a season of doubt or apparent failure - showing all of us that leaders are not necessarily born, but made. I highly recommend this book for any woman or man that desires to finish well.
