In August 2012, sixteen members of an Amish community in Bergholz, Ohio, stood trial in a federal courtroom for crimes committed against members of other Amish communities. She ended up serving a two-year prison sentence in federal prison because of crimes committed within her Amish community. Her time in prison changed her life.
