Tamsin Winter grew up in a tiny village in Northamptonshire where there was nothing to do. She spent her childhood reading books and writing stories, mostly about cats. She has a degree in English literature and creative writing, and has been teaching, travelling the world and daydreaming for most of her adult life. She currently lives in Leicestershire with her son.
Brave, honest, and heart-breakingly funny. * Ben Miller * Loved it...so uplifting and empowering - so, so good. * Cathy Cassidy * Winter hits just the right note...Wholesome and uplifting * Irish Times * Tamsin's writing makes my heart wrench while simultaneously making my stomach hurt from laughing. Deftly weaving together a story about consent in the digital age, with all the sweet awkwardness of first kisses, first love and the realisation that true acceptance has to come from within. A bold, hilarious and necessary read. * Christine Pillainayagam, author of Ellie Pillai is Brown * A hugely important read for teens, parents and teachers alike. My heart broke for Amelia who's told she's the worst person in the world when actually she's definitely the best. A beautiful, relevant story of courage, strength, and not letting other people decide who you are. * Kate Weston, author of Diary of a Confused Feminist *
