Aspekte neu was developed on the basis of the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and with the help of optional descriptions from Profiles German. Volume 1 (B1 +) secures the previously acquired and no longer fully active knowledge of level B1 and facilitates the transition to level B2. Volumes 2 and 3 each cover levels B2 and C1.
A central point is the learner orientation, the inclusion of the areas of life and the situations in which learners encounter the German language and act in it, as well as the promotion of autonomous learning. On this basis, the topics, types of text and language actions in the chapters were selected and the grammar, language and vocabulary derived from them, as well as the communication of strategies.
Aspekte neu offers integrated exam preparation in the textbook and workbook from the start. In the workbook there is level-appropriate pronunciation training in each chapter.
Authentic films on the DVD, which is enclosed with the textbook, as well as regional portraits at the end of each chapter motivate the learners and paint a varied picture of the German-speaking countries.
Aspekte neu is modular. Lecturers can either make a selection for their course or treat the modules linearly. Each module takes up a new aspect of the chapter topic and develops skills and language actions with a different focus. This way, varied and motivating lessons are guaranteed in any case.
Lesson planning is also facilitated by the learning objective box at the beginning of the chapter with references to the modules and the clear identification of the skills in the modules. In addition, the digital teaching package provides the teacher's handbook for simplified lesson preparation and smooth teaching - the digital teaching package integrates textbooks and workbooks, teacher's handbook, audio CDs and video clips in one place.
The structure of the textbook consists of 10 chapters composed of:
- Opening double page with large pictures and texts that enable a communicative introduction to the topic of the chapter.
- 4 modules on different aspects of the chapter topic. All modules also focus on training at least two skills. In Module 1 and Module 3, grammar is clearly developed and applied in the context of each.
- Portrait of a person, institution or business idea from German-speaking countries that is interesting from a regional perspective
- Grammar review for a systematic overview
- Double pages for the film matching the chapter topic, which stimulate communication and interaction in the course.
- In the appendix of the textbook you will find an overview of the most important expressions as well as the grammar of the level.
