Bjorn Veno (also spelled Bjørn Venø) (b. 1979, living and working in Norway) is an Arthemist, an artist blending art and alchemy. Working through free association and intuition, he treats art as intentional action rather than product. His practice investigates energy, failure, identity, gender, and metaphysics through the lens of transformation and the attributes of the fool. His work aims to open a space for exploration and presence of mind. It resists reducing art to commodity and spectacle, staying close to uncertainty, effort, and the unknown. He is the author of ARTHEMIST STATEMENT 2.6: Why create art that nobody asked for? (www.bjornveno.com) Hans-Georg Moeller is a Professor at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Macau. He authored numerous books including You and Your Profile: Identity after Authenticity, Genuine Pretending: On the Philosophy of the Zhuangzi (both with Paul D'Ambrosio), The Moral Fool: A Case for Amorality, The Radical Luhmann, and The Philosophy of the Daodejing, (all with Columbia University Press). He is content creator of the YouTube philosophy channels Carefree Wandering and Philosophy in Motion.
