Exactly what I need! I love this cookbook. As someone cooking for just two, this cookbook guides me through that process. The recipes are time-honored, many with a current twist that enhances flavors and makes eating all the more enjoyable. I've followed this author's online blog ""Our Table 4 2"" and now have all her recipes collected in this wonderful book. - - Sebatian Not the cook in the house, but I am now inspired to make these recipes. Pam has put so much TLC into this along the way. She gets up each day inspired to make and create wonderful dishes. I just spent an hour reading through it. There are so many great stories that describe where the recipe came from and how you can enjoy it now. I honestly want to start at the beginning and make each one along the way. Pam included tools for storing smarter, explaining surprising things you can freeze and even handy equipment for a two-person meal. I learned a number of things I did not know. I have been carefully storing my berries in an airtight container with a paper towel on the bottom and that has really helped them to last longer. But I did not know that rinsing them in 3 parts water and 1 part vinegar first will keep them even longer. Pam says the top should actually be loose fitting. I will try all this next time. Another new idea for me is rolling up individual slices of bacon into tight cylinders, then freezing so you can more easily remove the slices when you want them instead of struggling with frozen blocks of bacon. Pam also added other small touches - short and meaningful quotes for other chefs and a special place for Notes for Next Time. I am not the chef in our house and even I feel inspired to make some of these recipes. - Martha P
