The Artist Anish Kapoor was born in 1954 in Mumbai, India and lives and works in London, England. Kapoor is one of the most influential sculptors of his generation, perhaps most famous for public sculptures that are both adventures in form and feats of engineering. He has exhibited widely in Europe, USA, Asia and South America. His works were shown for the first time in Thailand at Bangkok Art Biennale 2020. Kapoor was awarded a CBE in 2003 and a knighthood in 2013 for services in visual arts. The Contributors Apinan Poshyananda was born in 1956 in Bangkok, studied at Edinburgh University, Cornell University and became professor at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. As artist, he won three medals at the National Exhibition of Art, Bangkok. He has published books and curated exhibitions on modern and contemporary Asian art. Poshyananda was permanent secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Thailand and committee member at the Asia Society, Asian Art Council, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, USA, and the National Gallery Singapore. He was conferred knighthood by the Swedish and Italian governments in 2003 and 2009, respectively and awarded the Officer of the French Arts and Literature Order by the French government in 2011 for his services in the visual arts. He is Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Bangkok Art Biennale. Homi K. Bhabha was born in 1949 in Mumbai, India. He is the Anne F. Rothenberg Professor of Humanities at Harvard University, USA. He is one of the most renowned figures in contemporary post-colonial studies and developed key concepts such as hybridity, mimicry, difference and ambivalence. His seminal books include Nation and Narration, 1990, The Location of Culture, 1994, Debating Cultural Hybridity, 2015. In 2012, Bhabha received the Padma Bushan award in the field of literature and education from the Indian government. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi was born in 1975 in Bangkok and studied Financial Economics at Boston University, USA. He is the CEO and President of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and is the Executive Director of Amarin Printing and Publishing Public Company Limited, and is board member at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation. He received an Honorary Doctorate in Management from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Sirivadhanabhakdi is the Founder and Chairman of Bangkok Art Biennale Foundation. Chatri Prakitnonthakan was born in 1976. He is Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University, Thailand. His area of expertise is in research on Thai architectural history with particular emphasis on Buddhist cosmology as well as political symbols in modern Thai architecture and public space. Phra Rajawetee (Surapon Chityano) was born in 1967 in Chachoengsao, Thailand and has been in monkhood for more than thirty years. He is assistant abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan (The Temple of the Reclining Buddha or Wat Pho),and appointed the ecclesiastical regional governor. Charles Shafaieh was born in 1990 and is an arts journalist and critic based in New York City, USA. His writing on visual art, music, theatre, literature, and architecture has appeared in numerous international publications including The New Yorker, Harvard Design Magazine, The Weekend Australian Review, The Irish Times, and Artforum. He is also an editor-at-large for The Brooklyn Rail.
