This is a playlet about the Israelites leaving Egypt and attaining freedom from slavery as viewed through the prism of an American football contest. It is based on the exodus story of Passover as described in the Torah and the Haggadah as well as the telling of that story at the Seder commemoration of it.

This playlet features the Egyptian Royals team versus the Israelite Ragtag team. The winner gets Divine Bragging Rights in that day. The Royals are the favorites and the spread is nine. The Royals must survive all ten plagues to win. Over and under are 70.

The playlet begins with pre-game banter between announcers. It ends with post-game interviews of the principal actors. Supplementary appendices are included for Seder leaders to encourage additional thought, discussion, and learning about what happened and what it means based on a story that has been.

"Calling upon his background as a high school and college football player and twenty years of field officiating, the author describes the plagues of the Israelite exodus from Egypt using American football references and biblical descriptions. His purpose is to present this freedom from slavery epic in a way that will add interest and knowledge, especially for young people, to it.The author's Passover Seder memories as an attendee and as a leader are reflected in this playlet. Such reflections include sitting at the table while his Ukrainian immigrant grandfather intoned the story in Hebrew in a quiet but deliberate fashion. The author was perhaps the only child who stayed focused on the entire ceremony.Sgan has written prior books with Jewish and sports themes. In this playlet he brings them together in a humorous and unique manner, while maintaining respect for the biblical narrative, the Seder itself, and Jewish tradition. Illustrator Hunter HughesHunter Hughes lives and works in Honolulu Hawaii as an illustrator and creative professional. He studied animation at the University of Hawaii-Manoa where he also played football. Much like this playlet, bringing sports, art, and faith together is one of Hunter's passions. He also helps young athletes get better at sports through videos on Tik Tok and YouTube under a program called 'All Around Athlete."". His presentations have been seen by millions and he helps to make a lasting positive developmental impact on young people through combining art, technology, and sports. Hunter is a tournament golfer and works a pro trainer at golf clubs on Oahu."
