Rea Andrew Redd serves on the faculty of Waynesburg University as director of Eberly Library and adjunct instructor of American History. He is the author of “The Point of No Return: Turning Points within the 1864 Presidential Election and the Doom of the Confederacy,” in Turning Points of the American Civil War (Southern Illinois University, 2018), as well as The Gettysburg Campaign Study Guide, Volumes One and Two (2012, 2014). Civil War Librarian, his weblog established in 2005, has received more than 1.25 million page views. Rea speaks regularly on topics related to Abraham Lincoln, Civil War medicine, and Pennsylvania’s Civil War. A member of the 9th Pennsylvania Reserves, a Civil War reenactment group since 1993, he has provided living history for the George Spangler Farm, and the Pennsylvania Memorial at Gettysburg National Military Park.
