Mariana Ruiz Johnson, who lives in Argentina, has been widely published around the world. She loves anthropomorphic books, stories that are funny, and using lots of color and nighttime scenes. She has won two international prizes: for the Illustrated Album for her book Mam that was published in ten languages, and the Silent Book Contest for While You Were Sleeping, which was exhibited at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. She is the illustrator of Ways to Make Friends, also published by Greystone Kids.
