Schunetta Burns-Wilson is the founder of I Am Renewed Inc., a non-profit organization based in California. Schunetta is now a certified life coach who has taken on a challenge of fulfilling her purpose. Schunetta found her joy while volunteering with group homes for children who are in the foster care system. She thrives on affording the young ladies an opportunity to identify their purpose. In addition, she provides tools and resources to help them navigate and fulfill their purpose.Schunetta believes that each of these young ladies deserves a fair chance at changing the storyline that they fill dictates who they are. Schunetta was then impregnated with a vision of opening a facility to help them after they have aged out of the foster care and now expected to navigate through the daily challenges of life. While volunteering and working at different group homes, Schunetta heard far too many times about how the girls were so ready to leave and get on their own. These remarks fueled Schunetta to engage even more with the young ladies and started to challenge them to see if they were ready for the life that they were soon to experience. Schunetta was so invested in this venture of helping; so much so, she went back to school and obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology. She has also recently completed 2 interactive workbooks to add to the list of other tools she gives to the young ladies. Schunetta realized that some not in the foster care system also need to partake of the exercises and help them to navigate through life's challenges. So, she decided to host events and conferences that engaged the more seasoned ladies as well.
