Dr. Jenifer Norton earned their Ph.D. in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College and holds a Master of Social Work from Widener University. They are currently Executive Director of AI Integration & Innovation in the Office of Online Education Innovation, Psychology Program Director in the School of Professional Studies & Innovation, and Professor of Practice at Moravian University. In these roles, Dr. Norton leads institution-wide efforts to integrate generative AI into online education, curriculum design, assessment, and faculty development in ways that are ethical, accessible, and human-centered, while also overseeing interdisciplinary psychology programming focused on human behavior, mental health, and well-being. Dr. Norton brings over a decade of experience in online and hybrid higher education, with particular expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and program administration. Their career spans leadership roles including Online MSW Program Director, Academic Director for Noodle, and Assistant Professor across multiple institutions. They have supported curriculum innovation at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and human-centered disciplines, notably contributing to AI integration initiatives across general education and professional studies at Moravian University. Their scholarly work and teaching emphasize ethical technology use, culturally aware pedagogy, social justice, and data-informed practice in social work, counseling, and psychology. Dr. Norton has served as evaluator on several federally funded behavioral health grants and contributed to academic publications and conferences in areas such as online learning, AI in education, and culturally sustainable curricula.
