Dr. Rajendra K. Ray is currently a Professor at the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi. He obtained his B.Sc. (Math.) and M.Sc. (Math.) degrees from Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal, and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He did his post-doctoral research from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, and then from École des Ponts ParisTech, France. His major areas of research interests include development of higher order accurate numerical methods for PDEs and their applications for solving complex fluid flow problems, heat and mass transfer problems, moving interface problems and mathematical models for image processing. Prof. Ray has published more than 80 papers in internationally reputed journals and conference proceedings, and has delivered invited/plenary talks in number of national and international conferences. Currently, he is the Vice-President of the Indian Society ofTheoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM). He is serving as a reviewer in more than 20 internationally reputed journals. Prof. Swaroop Nandan Bora is currently a professor at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He pursued his B.Sc. (Math.) from Cotton College, Gauhati University, India, M.Sc. (Math.) from University of Delhi, and Ph.D. from Technical University of Nova Scotia, Canada. His major areas of research interests include wave-structure interactions, scattering and trapping of water waves, flows in porous media, sloshing, river mechanics, theoretical aspects of fractional differential equations, mathematical biology. Prof. Bora has published more than 110 papers in internationally reputed journals and has given many invited/plenary talks in national and international conferences. He was the President of Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM) for the year 2022. Prof. Dipak Kumar Maiti is currently a professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He did his B.E.(Civil) from University of Calcutta, M.Tech. and Ph.D. (Aero-Structure) from IIT Kharagpur. His major areas of research interests include aeroelastic, analysis of smart lifting surface, analysis of smart landing gear, structural health monitoring, FE analysis of smart multidirectional composites, non-linear analysis of smart composites, plates and shells reliability analysis of composite, wing subjected to various loads. Prof. Maiti has published more than 100 papers in internationally reputed journals and has given many invited/plenary talks in national and international conferences. Currently, he is the Secretary of the Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM).
