Prof. B. Bhattacharyya is a retired professor of the Production Engineering Department at Jadavpur University. He served as the Head of the department from August 2001 to August 2003 and is currently serving in the same capacity for a second term. He is the recipient of many awards like the UGC carrier award, the gold medal of IE (I), etc. He has completed many funded research projects for many government agencies. He has guided the research work for more than 30 Ph.D. students and PG students. Presently, he is an Emeritus Professor and INAE Distinguished Professor at MCKV Institute of Engineering. He has edited the proceedings of many conferences and contributed to many chapters of various books and authored two books published by Elsevier as well as associated with various International Journals. He contributed more than 500 research papers in international and national journals and conferences. Prof. N. K. Jain a Professor at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. He completed his PhD (2003) and M.Tech (1995) from IIT Kanpur, with a specialization in Manufacturing Science and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from SGSITS Indore in 1993. Before joining IIT Indore, he served at IIT Roorkee, South Asia International Institute, Hyderabad and Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, New Delhi, from 2002 to 2010. Prof. Jain extensively works on various aspects of advanced and hybrid machining and finishing processes, additive manufacturing, gear finishing, miniature gear manufacturing and micro-joining. He has published more than 120 research papers in international journals. He is a recipient of many awards and honours, like the Education Leadership Award by the World Education Congress. He has authored several books. He is associated with the editorial board of the Journal of Micromanufacturing and is an associate editor of the International Journal of Precision Technology. Dr. M. Vashista is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), India. He was a visiting researcher in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Newcastle University, UK. He holds a master’s degree in Welding Engineering from University of Roorkee (now, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee) and a PhD degree in machining (with specialization in grinding) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur India. He has published multiple papers in various leading journals of international repute and more than 45 papers in international and national conferences. His area of research is machining, grinding, and material characterization. He has supervised several PhD theses and guided more than 25 M.Tech dissertations. He is the recipient of the prestigious BOYSCAST fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, India.  Dr. M. Z. K. Yusufzai is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), India. He holds a master’s degree in Welding Engineering from the University of Roorkee (now, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee) and a PhD degree in welding (with specialization in friction stir welding) from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. He has published more than 65 papers in various leading journals of international repute and more than 35 papers in international and national conferences. His area of research is welding, friction stir processing, and dissimilar metal joining. He has supervised many PhD theses and M.Tech dissertations.
