In the field of academic scholarship, there is a lack of comprehensive resources addressing the advancements and applications of powder metallurgy, specifically focusing on the technique of mechanical alloying. Many existing books only cover the basics of powder preparation, sintering methods, and general applications, leaving scholars without a thorough understanding of the subject. This knowledge gap limits the potential for innovative research and hinders the progress of metallurgy and mechanical engineering. Advancements in Powder Metallurgy: Processing, Applications, and Properties is the much-needed comprehensive reference for a better understanding of the complex applications of powder metallurgy. This groundbreaking book brings together twenty-one chapters authored by renowned pioneers in the field. It offers an in-depth exploration of mechanical alloying, providing scholars with comprehensive knowledge about the evolution of this technique, various alloy preparation methods, their advantages and limitations, and the synthesis of nanostructured materials. Unlike other books, this volume goes beyond the basics, covering the fabrication of a wide range of alloys, including biomaterials, hybrid nanomaterials, smart materials, super alloys, and ceramic materials, using mechanical alloying. By consolidating such diverse and essential information in one resource, this book fills a significant gap in the existing literature. It equips academic scholars and engineering students with the necessary knowledge to unlock the potential of mechanical alloying and make meaningful contributions to the field. Advancements in Powder Metallurgy: Processing, Applications, and Properties promises to inspire a new wave of research, rekindle interest in metallurgy and mechanical engineering, and empower scholars to explore novel applications and contribute to the advancements in this field.
