M. Nur Erdem completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in Public Relations and Publicity at Kocaeli University. In 2014, she got her PhD degree with her thesis titled “A Digital Literacy Education Model Proposal in the Context of Consumption-Based Consciousness Industry and Advertising”. Erdem has many national and international books, articles and papers in the fields of digital advertising, digital culture, game-vertising and advertising narrative. She is currently working as a faculty member at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Communication and Design. She is also a member of ATIKA (Akıllı Toplum İçin Kadın Akademisyenler - Female Academics for a Smart Society) initiative, which was established with the aim of providing a network for female postgraduate students. She also lectures and conducts scientific research at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Department of Neuromarketing. Özgün Arda Kuş graduated from Maltepe University, Department of Public Relations and Advertising, with a full scholarship, and also pursued a double major in Psychology. He completed his Master's degree in the Department of Sales and Marketing at Okan University, Business Administration Department. He completed his Ph.D. education in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Istanbul University with a thesis titled “Digital Games as an Interactive Communication Space; A study on the effects of playing motivations on digital game addiction.” He is currently continuing his academic studies as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Usküdar University Faculty of Communication. He has participated in various international and national certificate programs in the fields of marketing and psychology. He has authored the internationally published book “The Concept of Mobile Marketing, A Study for Istanbul and Generation Y,” the nationally published book “Relationships Among Game, Digital Game, Addiction, and Motivation Concepts,” and has served as editor for the compilation books “Digital Forms of Games 1,2 and 3” co-edited with Ozge Ugurlu Akbas. He has also presented papers at international scientific conferences and contributed chapters and articles to various books. The areas of research and interest for Ozgün Arda Kus include: digital games, alienation, self, mobile marketing, consumer behaviors and generations, mood disorders, and behavioral addictions. He is a full member of the Turkish Psychological Association.
