Samina Azad is a technical team leader, currently in the consumer packaged-goods industry. She leads change and motivates cross-functional product development teams daily to develop new products and technologies. She has taken thousands of new products to market, including a peroxide-based sterilizer for surgical medical devices. Azad has been serving ACS members in various leadership capacities since 2008. She earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University of Wisconsin and previously held two postdoctoral research positions at Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) and the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology at Rice University. She has published more than thirty scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
