""This book, Acts for the Everyday Christian, by Ted Stubbersfield is a must-read book for every Christian who seeks to know more about the origins of Christianity and the teachings of Paul and others at this time. This book explains in readily understood terms how the book of Acts connects the Gospels to the Epistles that form what is called the New Testament in the Bible. I have read a number of religious books by this author, and I find this book to be another well-researched and heartfelt treatise about how special and significant a Christian faith is in today's troubled world."" --Ralph Bailey, Architect ""Ted is an excellent writer and his book on Acts hits the mark from so many points of view. His commentary is not bogged down in trivialities but presents the message of acts in a clear easily readable style but without simplifying matters."" --Dan Tingley, Senior Wood Technology/Structural Engineer, Wood Research and Development ""This very accessible commentary on the book of Acts is the happy fruit of untiring research, pastoral sensitivity, and entirely trustworthy theology. Ted Stubbersfield hopes to assist us in our study of Acts so that it 'awakens an ache for a similar encounter with the Spirit.' It is the Trinitarian God we keep encountering here, including the risen life of Jesus now active in the mission of his followers, and the sovereignty of God evident in the unrelenting advance of the Gospel."" --Stuart Piggin, Conjoint Associate Professor of History, Macquarie University ""Edgar's Acts commentary is hard to put down. It informs and inspires. It brings the book of Acts alive speaking to our contemporary circumstances. It is a must for any individual or group who wants to grow in understanding the mission of the early Christian church empowered by the Holy Spirit. Edgar gives a clear explanation of our risen Lord working through his chosen servants. Edgar provides insightful contextual historical references and relevant biblical cross references which add understanding. This commentary will inspire and encourage readers in their faith, as they seek to witness to and serve their Lord in the current environment. Many people are open to the new life and hope which is the gift of our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."" --Noel Noack, Bishop Emeritus, Lutheran Church of Australia ""Acts for the Everyday Christian is another fascinating book by Ted Stubbersfield. I have been in his home, and he has been in mine, and we together have been out blazing trails in jungle areas of the world. He has been involved in church life, both in the structured sophisticated western world--and also in the unstructured, undeveloped cultures of the world. This book will help us all be part of Acts chapter 29!"" --Frederick Vance Kornis Jr., Founder, Heartland International Ministries ""I enjoy reading Edgar's books and it's probably been said many times: his observations of Christians on their journey with God has reflected many of my life experiences. Edgar has a gift of sharing in a way easy to understand--you don't need to be a theologian. Acts for the Everyday Christian takes you back to the experiences of the early church and in doing so challenges and encourages the reader. God Bless Edgar."" --Trevor Burstow, Company Director, T.
