About the Author: Anna Valentine is a chef, recipe creator, cookbook author, food photographer, forager, plant medicine maker, mother and passionate plant-based foodie. A vegetarian since she was 12 years old, Anna is a trained chef who worked at Dockside in Wellington and 3-hat Matteo's Restaurant in Melbourne. She then moved to London and started her own sweet baking business before returning to New Zealand and making her way into the iconic Wellington institution Fidel's café kitchen's busy counter baking section.

Anna runs a cook school, called The Veggie Tree, in Kaeo, Northland. She also created New Zealand's first commercially available kumara chips 'The Original Kumara Chips'.
