'A Kinder Sea is Felicity Plunkett's masterpiece in the original sense of that term: the work that most fully expresses her gifts.' Lisa Gorton 'These poems are full of wishes, prayers, songs, confessions, dreams, letters and divinations. Like the oceans that inhabit it, this collection is rich, mysterious and bountiful. A Kinder Sea is a stunning collection. It shows us that unwavering artistry and profound humanity can indeed belong together.' David McCooey 'A Kinder Sea exists in both the past and the future while remaining unmistakably alive in the present moment. This book should be read slowly and lusciously, so each poem can rest on your tongue like a jewel.' Simon Tedeschi
