Dr. Santhi Kalaikaman, the author of this book, developed a deep habit of reading from a very young age, driven by an innate quest for the divine. Her birthplace, Sholinghur-also known as Chola Lingam or Chola Simma Puram-home to the temple of Sri Yoga Lakshmi Narasimhar and Amrithavalli Thayar, played a significant role in nurturing this spiritual pursuit.

Growing up, her playgrounds were the very temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Narasimha. The profound spiritual influence of her parents, Thiru Radhabai Ammaiyar and Thiru Kuppusamy, further deepened her sense of devotion. These early experiences laid the foundation for her later reflections on the Siddhars, gently guiding their emergence in her consciousness. What once entered her heart as a seeker's yearning has now found expression in the form of this book.
