Argentine Literature continues to figure prominently in academic programs in the English-speaking world, and it has an increasing presence in English translation in international prizes and trade journals. A History of Argentine Literature proposes a major reimagining of Argentine literature attentive to production in indigenous and migration languages and to current debates in Literary Studies. Alejandra Laera is a Professor of Argentine Literature and Director of the Institute of Argentine Literature at Universidad de Buenos Aires, and a Researcher at National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina. Her latest book is Ficciones del dinero (2022). Mónica Szurmuk is a researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina, and a Professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín. She is the editor of the Latin American Literature in Transition series at Cambridge University Press and the author of La vocación desmesurada: Una biografía de Alberto Gerchunoff (2018).
