As a headteacher, this is perfect for our whole school assemblies as well as reading within classrooms linking to RE and PSHE. Beautifully illustrated too, it helps pupils learn more about Eid and encourages Muslim pupils to share their traditions during this celebration. A Golden Eid celebrates families, community and kindness so is a great story to develop empathy, particularly seeing Hafsa’s selflessness with sharing her favourite snack. The Celebrate and Make series is also great as it gives children the opportunity to make things after reading, in this case halwa and Eid decorations. A must have book, and series, for your school! -- Tom G * Check 'Em Out Books *
