Get ready to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, commemorating the end of Ramadan, in this heartfelt picture book.

The first sliver of a new moon hung low and bright … which brought with it the festival of Eid al-Fitr.

Join Hafsa and her family as they prepare to spend Eid with their loved ones, decorating the house and cooking a feast. But, when Hafsa’s dad starts packing up her favourite snack, the halwa, to share with the neighbours, Hafsa's community rallies together to save the day.

In this glorious picture book, you will learn the recipe for how to make your very own halwa and a guide to craft Eid-inspired bunting to decorate the house. With words from award-winning author Hiba Noor Khan and warm, charming art from talented newcomer, SInggih Cahyo Jadmiko, this is the perfect gift to celebrate Eid.

Reviews for A Golden Eid: The perfect Ramadan and Eid gift for kids – a heartfelt, interactive picture book with a recipe and hands on activities to try!

As a headteacher, this is perfect for our whole school assemblies as well as reading within classrooms linking to RE and PSHE. Beautifully illustrated too, it helps pupils learn more about Eid and encourages Muslim pupils to share their traditions during this celebration. A Golden Eid celebrates families, community and kindness so is a great story to develop empathy, particularly seeing Hafsa’s selflessness with sharing her favourite snack. The Celebrate and Make series is also great as it gives children the opportunity to make things after reading, in this case halwa and Eid decorations. A must have book, and series, for your school! -- Tom G * Check 'Em Out Books *
