Ryan Alexander Bloom has studied rudimental drumming since 1996 and endorses Vater Percussionas an educator. He teaches marching and concert percussion in public schools, and teaches drum setand other percussion from his own studio. Ryan's original instructional drum books are publishedwith Hudson Music and Mel Bay, including Encyclopedia Rudimentia and Rudimental Grand Tour, andhis research has been featured in Percussive Notes. His other publications include translations of Swissand French military rudimental manuals, and transcriptions of 19th century drum books into modernnotation. Ryan holds a degree in percussion from the University of Colorado, has signed contracts withCandlelight Records and Redefining Darkness Records as a drum set player, and is continually refininghis understanding of historical and modern international rudimental drumming. James Musser began on guitar in 1966, and added the drums in 1970, when his brother got a lightlyused, 1967 blue sparkle Ludwig kit for Christmas. James was inspired by fusion drummers such as BillBerg, Gary Husband, Billy Cobham, Lenny White, Narada Michael Walden, Furio Chirico, and so manyothers. He was fortunate to start his first fusion band in 1975. He is the owner and principal instructorat Peaceland Music in Torrance, CA since 1998, where he teaches private drum lessons as well as voice, guitar, violin, bass, and recording. His nominations include ""Best Guitar"" and ""Best LA Band"" at the LAMusic Awards. His band was also awarded ""Top 100 Unsigned Bands"" from Music Connection magazineand ""Best South Bay Band"" from Rock City News.
