He worked for three decades in the Israeli government and in the 90s served as the State Budget Director and the Ministry Finance Director General, years of a series of essential reforms and changes to the Israeli economy that transformed it from a centralized public regime to an open and competitive market economy. In the private sector he served for nine years as a chairman of the Bank Leumi.
