Enchanting Calligraphy III by Lillian Don (董楊麗蓉) is a luminous testament to the timeless beauty of Chinese calligraphy. Born into a distinguished family of literati in Taichung, Taiwan, and trained for over sixty years under the guidance of renowned master Wu Jianlun, Lillian has cultivated a unique artistic voice that blends tradition with modern insight.
With millions of followers across Facebook, Weibo, WeChat, and Twitter, Lillian has become a cultural bridge between East and West. Her calligraphy-graceful yet powerful, elegant yet spirited-carries the free-flowing vitality reminiscent of the great poet Li Bai. Each piece in this collection is accompanied by interpretation and exquisite English translations by Crystal Tai, a Stanford graduate, whose work adds depth and international resonance to the original texts.
In this third volume, Lillian presents masterpieces drawn from Tang and Song poetry, modern verse, and timeless aphorisms. Beyond art, her words and brushstrokes reflect a profound humanistic spirit, inspiring readers to appreciate not only the artistry of calligraphy but also the cultural wisdom embedded within.
This book is more than a collection of artworks-it is an invitation to experience the poetic soul of Chinese civilization and a celebration of cross-cultural understanding.
