Valeriy Rogozhnikov is an internationally renowned speleologist, known as the father of the Kyiv speleological movement. Along with his students, Mr. Rogozhnikov is responsible for the discovery of some of the deepest and most beautiful caves on the former Soviet Union territory. As an author, Mr. Rogozhnikov is known for a popular speleology textbook, a number of collections of short stories rooted in the cave exploration lore, as well as a few mystery novellas. Since 1996, Mr. Rogozhnikov has lived in the United States, most recently in Florida.
