After the battle at the Kyoto fox village, Kabane wakes up in an unfamiliar land. There he is reunited with his former enemy Robara and learns that three years have passed. During that time, Japan has transformed into a country ruled by Inari and completely isolated from the rest of the world. It is a bizarre scene in which many people's minds have been taken over and inhuman beings walk the streets. But even in these dire circumstances, those who forged bonds with Kabane have continued the fight, believing in his safe return.
