There they swap their parkas for swimsuits, dine on cheese and cracker crumbs, and learn to hang ten. It's a perfect vacation, over too soon. Or is it...? Featuring bright, cheerful illustrations full of laugh-out-loud details, this funny easy-reader is ideal for chilling out with—regardless of the weather!

Beginner Books are fun, funny, and easy to read! Lori Haskins Houran grew up in Maine, so she knows a thing or two about being chilly. She moved to Florida for a while, where she tried surfing and quickly mastered the wipeout. These days Lori lives with her family on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She is the author of more than sixty books for kids. Steph Laberis is a character designer for animation and kidlit illustrator, based in Northern California. Her artwork reflects her love for animals and there's usually a chance to spot a cameo from one of her pet cats, rats, or dogs in her books! When she's not drawing, she enjoys tabletop gaming, glass working, and doting on the squirrels in her backyard—who seem to have adopted her.
