Stepanka Sekaninova used to work as a TV reporter and in the production of children's programs. Now she is a writer and an editor-in-chief, living in the Czech Republic. Children's book author Jana Sedlackova enjoys, among other things, singing in a choir and decorating gingerbread during Christmas. Her love for fairytales fuels her conviction that those who don't read them are still searching for the perfect one. She graduated from the School of Textile Design and Management in Brno, Czech Republic. Linh Dao spent much of her life in Hanoi, Vietnam, where she was born, before moving to the Czech Republic. She studied illustration in Brno and animation in Zln, where her graduation film earned several international awards. In 2016, she won a prize in the Young Creative category at the ADC Creative Awards. After a stint in corporate life, she returned to freelancing as an illustrator and animator. She lives in Brno, where she survives mainly on potato chips and green tea.

The illustrations go from cartoon-y to realistic which makes them stand out and holds a child's interest. OBSERVING THE ANIMALS OF THE FOREST WITH LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD contains a variety of facts about animals you might see on a trek through the forest. It's a great source of information for children to expand their knowledge with pages that fold up to reveal tidbits about the different creatures. My daughter enjoys learning about animals so this is a fun twist on things with the classic story to go along with it. Even I learned some new facts. I love how the pages fold up so you can enjoy these pages without taking away from the classic tale. It's better than trying to cram it all onto one side and I appreciate the format. Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged six and up who love animals and learning more about them.
