It’s Romeo and Juliet—or rather Juliet and Juliet—if one of them were covered in fur and the other were wandering the streets of Montreal at night with a crossbow. The illustrations are absolutely charming; Freddie the wolf is adorable, not a bit mean. The love story is like a gentle spring breeze. It’s very tender, even a little sensual at times... What more could you ask for in a love story? — Claudia Hébert, Radio-Canada Praise for Sophie Bédard's Doug Wright Award-winning graphic novel Lonely Boys: ""Bédard makes lovely comics, with fully formed characters jumping into our brains from the moment they appear. It's a mixture of simple line work, expressive faces and body language, and odd behaviour, all adding up to give us that comic-book thing: unusual content that somehow has universal appeal."" —Mike Donachie, The Toronto Star ""Starting from the first page, these characters grip the reader with emotion."" —Amy Barlow, Canadian Literature ""...It's compulsively readable; once you start, you don't want to put it down. It's fun to spend time with these three frustrating but ultimately lovable protagonists... This is a mainstream comic in the best sense of the word."" —Rob Clough, High-Low
