Born into the Red Delta of Northern Vit Nam, Nguyn Phan Qu Mai grew up in the Mekong Delta, Southern Vit Nam. She is an award-winning writer in both Vietnamese and English and the author of thirteen books of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. Her books include The Secret of Hoa Sen, The Mountains Sing, and Dust Child.
