Reviews for Super Daisy

Letchworthy Farm lies on the edge of Dartmoor with the widest, most glorious views in England. Since her father's recent death, Jane Reeves has worked the farm alone, and like most English cattle farmers, is falling into debt. North tells the story of Jane's fight to keep afloat and to preserve the way of life that she loves, with skill and conviction. The problems that she faces - rescuing cows from bogs, being lost in the mist on the moor or arguing in court with underhanded property developers - are as nail-bitingly compelling as any thriller. The drudgery and ecstasy of working the land are brilliantly portrayed. Read this and you will know why there are still people willing to face the struggle to go on farming. (Kirkus UK)
