Eleven-year-old Isla lives with her mum, older sister Tilda and younger brother Milo. When Grandad dies, the family persuade Gran to come and stay for the summer - they're desperate to make her smile again. Then Isla hears about Poppy, a cat Mum's treating at the vets where she works. Isla persuades Mum to let Poppy come and stay - it'll be great company for Gran... and for her (she's always wanted a cat). Little do they realize the chain of events that will unfold with Poppy's arrival... Gran starts baking again, Tilda starts up a blog for Poppy, the house becomes full of cats and Isla comes up with a crazy idea to solve the problem... a cat cafe!
