Doug Moench has written novels, short stories, newspaper feature articles, weekly newspaper comic strips, film screenplays and teleplays. His first published work was My Dog Sandy, a comic strip printed in his elementary school newspaper. Moench has worked for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics and many other smaller companies; he has written hundreds of issues of many different comics, and created dozens of characters, such as Moon Knight. Grammy-and Emmy-winning producer/director Todd McFarlane became a true comic book superstar from his work on Marvel Comics' Spider-Man franchise. He co-founded Image Comics and launched his own comic title, Spawn. The comic became an Emmy Award-winning animated series on HBO and a feature film from that grossed more than $100 million. McFarlane founded the international award-winning McFarlane Toys - now one of America's top action figure manufacturers. A whirlwind of growth and expansion in McFarlane's companies followed- more comics, action figures, and award-winning entertainment projects. In February 2017, the BBC announced a new TV Series Sam and Twitch , based on Todd McFarlane's Spawn Comic Characters, and it's attached to producer, director, writer Kevin Smith. McFarlane will serve as the executive producer.
