Denica Bowden is a children's author from Weipa, a small, remote town in Far North Queensland, Australia. She obtained her dual degree in Applied Science and Education at the Queensland University of Technology but gave up her teaching career to become an electrician, though some would say she never stopped working with children. She was inspired to write after becoming a mother and found inspiration in her husband and son's keen interest in motorbikes. Laura Wood is a freelance illustrator specialising in junior fiction and picture books. Originally from Treviglio, in the north of Italy, she studied illustration in the wonderful city of Melbourne, Australia, where she kicked off her illustration career in 2012. After a few years seeking adventure and travelling the world, she moved to Milan, Italy, where she now lives.
