Delia Ruiz is the author of several children's books, including Ways Papi Says I Love You, the 123 Baila! board book series, and Roqui's Pandero Beat, an International Latino Book award-winner. Delia enjoys creating teacher materials and is also a books reviewer on social media, where she showcases diverse books. She currently resides in Puerto Rico with her husband, baby boy, and pug. Delia hopes to inspire the next ​generation of writers who also come from immigrant households. Nomar Perez is an author-illustrator originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. He is the winner of the Pura Belpre Honor for Author and Illustrator for his picture book Coqui in the City. After leaving his homeland at the age of ten, Nomar found himself in touch with all types of media, including animation, puppetry, and computer art. He studied computer animation and painting at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and since then has worked as an illustrator and designer.
