Challenging, entertaining, and tear-your-hair out hard! These 115 puzzles will test the mettle of all solvers-and take word search to new levels of difficulty. With topics that range from 1970s Song Hits to Super Bowl Host Cities, from Harry Potter to Bruce Springsteen, the themes couldn't be more fun. The trick is that the searches get harder as they go along. In the earliest puzzles, you'll get a list containing nearly all the hidden words; perhaps just one will be missing. But gradually, the accompanying lists grow shorter and shorter, and by the end, there's no list at all- just fifteen well-concealed words relating to the subject. So, a good eye isn't enough-because you won't know what you're looking for in advance, it's also helpful to know something about the theme. For example, in Broadway Musicals, with no guidance, you'll have to find Camelot, The Book of Mormon, Les Miserables (written backwards), Sweet Charity (reading from bottom to top), and more, from a variety of eras. We're betting only the best can finish!

John M. Samson has edited over 250 puzzle books for Simon & Schuster's Crossword series and has had several daily and Sunday crosswords published in The New York Times. He recently authored puzzle books for ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER? (Harper Collins). John's puzzles have appeared on the back of a Kellogg's cereal box, on the side of a tall building for Metro-North Railroad, in a tree inhabited by Keebler elves, in a keystone for the H. J. Heinz Company, in a heart for Longevity magazine, on an album cover for a rock group, and in a three-page centerfold for Golf Digest. John's other pursuits include writing for the stage, screen, and television. He lives in a sometimes-sleepy village in Central New York.
