Matthew Fogel, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a part of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians. He graduated with an associate's degree in nursing from Pima Medical Institute in New Mexico, and graduated from Simmons University in Boston with a Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He spent his nursing career on a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) specializing as an open-heart surgery recovery nurse. As a fierce medical cannabis advocate, he wrote a petition for adding patients who suffer from neurodegenerative diseases to the accepted list for medical cannabis conditions that was approved by the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Advisory Board. Matthew's passion is for patient education and harm reduction. He lives in Albuquerque, NM with his wife, Elizabeth. Elizabeth Fogel, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and patient advocate. She graduated from Central New Mexico Community College with her associate's degree in nursing and graduated with her Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Simmons University in Boston. Elizabeth has spent most of her nursing career at the University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH), a level one trauma center. She has worked at UNMH as a mother/baby and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse, as well as a charge nurse in their rheumatology and pulmonary clinics. Elizabeth's focus is on patient autonomy and the importance of using all available medical research in the advancement of patient care. She currently lives in Albuquerque, NM with her husband, Matthew. Jean-Paul Dedam, MD, DABMA, is the in-patient physician at the Lovelace Heart Hospital of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He graduated with a B.A. in Biochemistry at Dartmouth and an M.D. through their medical school. He practiced Family Medicine in Lawrence, MA, then worked four years in Indian Health Services as the primary care physician. Jean-Paul is also a board certified Medical Acupuncturist.
