She supported adults in the local community as a social worker until she became her grandmother Norma's full-time carer in 2023. Norma Burton (Author) Norma Burton was born in Nottinghamshire in 1934 and grew up in war time Britain. She trained as a telephonist and worked at the General Post Office exchange in Retford until she was married in 1962.
