Kirsten Pendreigh is a journalist, poet, and author. Formerly a reporter and producer with NPR and CBC, she now writes nonfiction and fiction books for children. Her stories celebrate children's curiosity about our natural world and their instinct to nurture it. Kirsten's writing is inspired by the natural world near her home in Vancouver- the green rainforests, the blue Pacific Ocean, and the snowy Coast Mountains.
