Award-winning author Seanan Maguire has written 15 books in the New York Times bestselling urban fantasy series October Daye, among multiple other novels and short stories. Maguire made a big impression at Marvel crafting Gwen Stacy’s super-hero adventures across multiple titles. Her other credits include Fearless and Age of X-Man: The Amazing Nightcrawler. New York-native Afro-Latinx writer Vita Ayala graduated from DC Comics’ inaugural Talent Development Workshop, soon working on some of the publisher’s most famous characters — including Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Suicide Squad. Their collaboration with artist Emily Pearson on zombie story The Wilds for Black Mask gained Ayala industry-wide attention, including at Marvel, where they demonstrated their talents on books including Shuri and Marvel Knights: 20th. The limited series Age of X-Man: Prisoner X followed, then the ongoing Morbius, and Ayala introduces a new generation of mutants for Dawn of X in Children of the Atom. In addition, they have written comic books featuring such diverse pop-culture icons as Xena: Warrior Princess and James Bond, as well as their critically acclaimed series Livewire for Valiant Comics. Canadian artist Takeshi Miyazawa developed his style from his lifelong love of anime and manga. His unique artistry first flavored projects including Sidekicks, Runaways and Amazing Fantasy, leading to Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane in collaboration with writer Sean McKeever. Miyazawa has subsequently specialized in illustrating many of Marvel’s leading female characters, adding Mary Jane, Ms. Marvel, Silk and Ghost-Spider to his resumé. Springing from the all-ages title Marvel Adventures the Avengers, artist Ig Guara brought his delightful take on the Marvel Universe to Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers. He graduated to full-on super-hero action in books including All-New Wolverine, Ghost-Spider, Marvel Team-Up and Captain America: Symbol of Truth.
