Brush up on the coolest Spider-Man before he hits the small screen!

Brush up on the coolest Spider-Man before he hits the small screen!

Spidey legend Erik Larsen puts on his writing hat to reinvent this Spider-Man like he did the original with rising-star artist Andrea Broccardo. It's the 1930s, and Peter Parker is a private detective by day - and vigilante Spider-Man by night. Things were going well until a certain dame walked into his office to ask Peter to solve the case of her father's murder. The dame's name? Gwen Stacy! This case may not only break George Stacy's police department, but Spider-Man himself!

Following stints at AC Comics and Eclipse, Erik Larsen replaced fan-favorite Todd McFarlane on Amazing Spider-Man and quickly became a legend in his own right, chronicling Spidey's cosmic-powered and powerless phases. His other Marvel credits include Defenders, Fantastic Four, Nova and Wolverine. At DC, he has penciled Doom Patrol, Outsiders, Teen Titans and others. Larsen's greatest fame may be as creator of Savage Dragon at Image Comics, which he helped found and where he served as publisher for four years. Artist Andrea Broccardo quickly found his feet at Marvel on projects including Kanan and the ""Amazing Grace"" storyline of Amazing Spider-Man. His work hit the big leagues in the high-profile event tie-in book Civil War II- X-Men, and he has illustrated multiple Star Wars projects, including Star Wars- Doctor Aphra. He has also worked on Marvel's foray into another iconic sci-fi galaxy in the pages of Alien.
