Multiple Eisner Award-winner Frank Miller broke into the comics business during the late 1970s, landing a choice assignment on the series Daredevil and quickly made the title one of Marvel's best-selling series. Miller has also had monumental success with his work on other iconic characters. In 1986, he made a splash at DC with the wildly popular and hugely influential Batman- The Dark Knight Returns, as well as putting a modern spin on Batman's classic origin story in Batman- Year One. In 2005, Miller collaborated with Robert Rodriquez to co-direct Sin City, a film that was widely praised by both fans and critics. Artist David Mazzucchelli begin working in comics during the early 1980s. In short order, he became the regular artist on Daredevil, first collaborating with writer Frank Miller on the character-defining ""Born Again"" story arc. Later, he re-teamed with Miller on the equally influential ""Batman- Year One."" Subsequent projects have included Mazzucchelli's independent anthology, Rubber Blanket; an adaptation of Paul Auster's City of Glass; short stories for a number of alternative comics collections; and illustration work for publications such as The New Yorker. He is currently writing and drawing an original graphic novel.
Praise for DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN “Daredevil: Born Again is a seminal story that showcases two powerhouse talents at the top of their game. As Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli carefully deconstruct Matt Murdock's life at the hands of the Kingpin of Crime, they also manage to showcase the elements of the character that make Daredevil such a lasting part of noir and pop culture — his sense of justice, his resilience, and his desire to protect the everyman. Born Again is a powerhouse feat that can never be replicated. A true classic.” — Alex Segura, bestselling author of Alter Ego, Secret Identity, and the upcoming Daredevil crime novel Enemy of My Enemy “Daredevil: Born Again is a searing exploration of the precarious line a hero walks when guilt and rage are his constant companions. Frank Miller tapped into what makes Matt Murdock unique among super heroes. He is both god-like and all too human at the same time. This is his tragedy...and his gift.” — S.A. Cosby, New York Times Bestselling author of All the Sinners Bleed, Blacktop Wasteland, and Razorblade Tears “Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli create a masterclass that is guaranteed to thrill Marvel fans and crime fans in equal measure. Born Again is a quintessential Daredevil story, sure, but it transcends its comic book origins and establishes itself as a work of cutting-edge noir.” — Ivy Pochoda, award-winning author of Wonder Valley, Visitation Street, and Sing Her Down “…one of the greatest Daredevil stories ever told…” — The Washington Post
